What Was Valley Dogs Rescue’s Inspiration?
Valley Dogs Rescue began in 2009. The organization saw a need for foster dog parents. A community of volunteers were willing to help dogs that were abandoned, neglected, abused, and surrendered. Therefore the organization got to work. They are inspired to promote good pet ownership.
How Does Valley Dogs Rescue Help Homeless Dogs?
The rescue is a 501c3 organization run by all volunteers. Every penny received from adoption fees/donations goes directly to pay for medical are and medical bills.
They take in abandoned, neglected, and surrendered dogs of all breeds. A top priority is to provide temporary housing for adoptable dogs and a refuge for hard-to-place dogs.
Furthermore, they promote responsible pet care for neutering/spaying, micro-chipping, and vaccination of dogs.
Their focus is to take on difficult cases such as medical problems, behavioral problems, and puppies. These situations come with additional costs and efforts.
They have a sister rescue called Veterans and Their Pets. They focus on supporting the animals of Veterans in need by providing medical care, temporary housing and food.
In addition, Valley Dogs Rescue works with the Veterans Association and Veterans support groups. These groups identify those in need in the Phoenix area especially the homeless veterans or veterans in temporary housing.
What Are The Goals For Valley Dogs Rescue In 2020?
The goal of the rescue in the next year is to place every dog under their care in a loving healthy home.
How Can The Public Help?
Volunteers at the rescue are willing to do all of the behavioral training and provide medical help. Although they need financial help to reach their goal. Please go to Valley Dogs Rescue to learn more and to make a donation to this great organization.
